First day and who's a bit rusty on the clay?

Quite a spread of scores! BigAl is off to a flier and Nevets has some catching up to do but all to play for. Everyone but the system got Benesova beating Wickmayer in 3 sets. Special mention to Big Al who got a full house in the 4 valid men's matches
viva did the best in the women's matches but faded badly in the men's

I managed to follow Big Al's 'full house' in the men's on day 1, with my own 'full house' in the men's on day 2, which helps propel me to the top of the leaderboard
I was helped by being the only person to pick Ferrero beating Monfils in straights. Everyone got 3-points courtesy of Djokovic, Sharapova and Kvitova.

Another high scoring day

I take the daily win for a second day and extend my lead, helped by being the only person to pick Goerges' straight sets win over the woman with that bizarre service action. It is peculiar that I seem to do better when running the competition (and it's not because of the maths, I do double-check the scores)
I think it has something to do with the maths indirectly though - because I am in a more analytical frame of mind I seem to be more inclined go with head rather than heart. When viva's running the comp I seem to go more with heart and seem to go with more maverick picks just for the hell of it!

Everyone got 3-points thanks to Fed and Sonarenka, although that's the end of her as she withdrew from the tournament afterwards
Otherwise, scoring was fairly consistent with the major discrepancies being over whether Stosur and Monaco would win in 2 or 3 sets, although viva's maverick pick of Macaroni over Venus cost him
Nobody predicted the demise of Isner or Pushwanska

Did anyone else spot that Fah's and Dark's predictions were exactly the same? Dark, seeing that you posted your picks half an hour after Fah, I am watching you!

NL has come late to this competition and I have offered to do an extra system for him as long as noone else objects (see the Wednesday predictions thread), otherwise I will give NL systems for Tuesday and Wednesday and nothing for Monday. The scores below include 3 systems - let me know if you think this is unfair
