guidelines

We love tennis here at Centre Court Tennis World and we love to talk about it with new people. Everyone is welcome to join our community and contribute. We are fairly laid back in terms of rules for our site, but - due to the nature of the internet and a minority of people who purposely set out to argue and annoy other people (which we're sure you have probably already come across elsewhere!), we have to have a code of conduct or guidelines if you like that we ask members to follow.

The main guideline on Centre Court Tennis World for forum and community users is to treat others with respect. We encourage free speech and different views, but ask that you refrain from personal attacks against other posters or any slanderous statements against other posters, players, etc. We know that tennis fans can be extremely passionate in their support (and dislike) of players but we do ask that you, as a member respect that your favourite player is not necessarily another members favourite and understand different views will be aired. We also ask that you do not, as a member, persistently air your dislike for any player in such a way that could be deemed to be deliberately antagonistic to their supporters.

If you see a post that you believe is inappropriate, you may report it by using the "Report" button. If you believe immediate action needs to be taken, it may be quicker at times to PM (Private Message) a member of the moderation or administration team.

If you receive unwelcome and/or offensive PMs from another member, the best advice is to block that member from sending you any further PMs. This can be done by clicking on the username of the member you wish to block and then selecting "block user". You may also report such issues to the moderation team. Generally we will not take action based upon content in PMs unless sufficient action is warranted. Again, you can control who has access to you via the PM facility.

We try not to be overly prudish here, but please refrain from any messages that are overly vulgar, profane or sexually explicit.

Thank you for being a member, enjoy the board and let's get talking about tennis!
